Redding used in their speech is based on the word 'ready' not the color red. Red and ready start with the same sound. You would think 'ready' would be like the word read, to read something, pronounced entirely different. Gah. See what I mean about it being a confusing language?

2. A boot in American English is a shoe or it means to kick someone out. :D I can always understand Americans but based on colloquialism, sometimes they say things that I'm unfamiliar with. Like when I moved to Pennsylvania ... they say Yuins, meaning everyone, you all... I'm guessing it derives from you ones. They say redding up... meaning I'm getting ready to do that, not even close to the color red. LOL

Definitely understand what you mean about dialect. When I watch British shows, I get frustrated sometimes because I don't understand what they are saying. I actually used Skype with a guy from Southern England, his cockney accent was so hard to follow, I told him I could not understand what he was saying! LOL The Brits also use words for things that we have entirely different words for like we use the word 'trunk' to store things in the space in the back of the car. They use the word 'boot'.

I am sure they are also foreign, but I have seen Americans botch the language up so bad that she may just have a low IQ ... intelligence lol. Even if she is using a translator, that is a process that goes through two translations. It is bound to become garbled!
